How do I get started with Tele-psychiatry?
A computer or a cell phone with an internet connection is all you need. It is preferable to use a computer when possible.
Using a private space where you will not be interrupted and can maintain your confidentiality is very important.

How It Works
Your tele psychiatry visit will require a computer/laptop, smart phone or tablet with a video camera and microphone. To begin your online counseling, follow these steps:
- Fill out the form on this page to request a telepsychiatry visit. You can also request an appointment by calling (914) 602-6209 or emailing info@jgmapa.com.
- You will receive an email confirming your appointment time and a link to your required pre-checking information as soon as your appointment is scheduled.
- You will receive a reminder email/text one hour before your telepsychiatry session with a link to your phone/email.
- Please log in 5 minutes before your appointment time.
- If you are unclear whether your device is ready for an online therapy session, please call us at (914) 602-6209. We will help you and do a test with your device.
